Collectie: Guidelines for Sim Rig Use During Events: Rig Damage Policy

The purpose of this policy is to outline the responsibilities and procedures for participants in the event of damage to sim racing event rigs. This policy ensures the maintenance and integrity of our equipment, allowing us to continue providing high-quality sim racing experiences to all participants.

This policy applies to all participants using sim racing rigs during the event, including but not limited to drivers, teams, and any individual granted access to the equipment.

Participants are expected to handle all sim racing rigs and associated equipment with care and respect. In the event that a sim racing rig or any part thereof is damaged due to negligence, misuse, or deliberate action by a participant, the following will apply:

1. Assessment of Damage: The event organizers or their designated representatives will assess the damage to determine its nature and extent. The assessment will consider whether the damage was accidental, due to negligence, or intentional.
   
   
2. Financial Responsibility: Participants are financially responsible for any damage they cause to the sim racing rigs. The cost of repair or replacement will be determined based on the current market value or repair costs of the damaged item(s).
   
   
3. Payment Procedure: Once the cost has been determined, the responsible participant will be notified of the amount due. Payment must be made within 14 days, as communicated by the event organizers. Failure to comply may result in exclusion from future events and legal action if necessary.
   
   
4. Dispute Resolution: In the event of a dispute regarding the cause or cost of damage, participants can request a review by an impartial panel appointed by the event organizers. The panel's decision will be final and binding.
   
   
5. Preventative Measures: Participants are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the proper use and handling of the sim racing rigs prior to use. Event organizers will provide guidelines and/or training sessions as necessary.

By participating in the sim racing event, participants agree to adhere to this Damage Policy. This policy is in place to ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all participants while protecting the assets that make such events possible. We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to respecting the equipment and other participants.
