The HOTAS Flight System WARTHOG USB dual-throttle joystick is the result of intensive collaboration between Thrustmaster's teams and the "simmer" community. Constant exchanges and studies marked its development phase. Consequently, the joystick perfectly meets experts' specific and precise requirements. Thus, the outcome is the HOTAS WARTHOG: a replica of the U.S. Air Force A-10C attack aircraft.
Weighing over 6.4 kg, the HOTAS WARTHOG Flight System joystick employs metal for its joystick, throttle handles, and bases. Additionally, it features 55 fully programmable action buttons and 2 four-direction hat switches. Each switch includes a built-in push button, a pioneering feature.
The joystick boasts 19 action buttons and a “Point Of View” hat. It utilizes H.E.A.R.T HallEffect AccuRate Technology for exceptional precision: 16-bit precision (65536 x 65536 values), with no gimbals. Furthermore, using the joystick’s buttons and triggers mimics the pressure required in actual airplanes. Additionally, the detachable handle and base of the joystick enhance its usability for simmers.
The throttle component, designed with attention to detail, incorporates a dual throttle system for controlling two motors independently. Moreover, the magnetic sensor technology in the throttles (14-bit resolution) guarantees unmatched precision. The Afterburner detent is disengageable, allowing for adjustments to suit different airplane types. The throttles also include 17 action buttons, a “Point Of View” hat, and a “mouse hat / slew control”.
The control panel, as the final mechanical component, provides a range of controls. It features a friction wheel for manual throttle resistance adjustments. Additionally, it has backlighting for night flights and 5 programmable LEDs. The base includes a “trim wheel” and 15 action buttons with realistic pressure.
These products constitute a comprehensive flight simulation ecosystem. It encompasses the Hotas Warthog, TFRP rudder pedals*, and MFD* cockpit panels. Also, they are compatible with the T.A.R.G.E.T advanced programming software**.
